My Story

Reconciling Masculinity and Mental Health

As a heterosexual cisgender man, I understand the social and cultural expectations many men face—including the pressure to appear stoic and the stigma around expressing emotion. I aim to challenge these narratives by providing a welcoming, nonjudgmental space for people of all genders—including men who may be new to therapy—to explore their thoughts, feelings, and relationships. I offer both emotional support and practical strategies that promote growth.

Supporting People with Trauma

Throughout my life and career, I have connected with many individuals who have experienced trauma. These interactions deepened my empathy, broadened my understanding of trauma in its many forms, and inspired me to dedicate my work to helping people process and move through their past experiences with safety and compassion.

Experiences in the Middle East

During and after my undergraduate studies, I spent significant time living, working, and studying in the Middle East. These experiences exposed me to a wide range of perspectives and helped me appreciate the cultural and political nuances of the region. In addition to this lived experience, I am currently receiving professional training and certification in narrative therapy. This combination—formal clinical training and meaningful intercultural experiences—guides my work with clients as we explore their life stories, understand the contexts that shape them, and build pathways toward healing and growth.
